The USC School of Social Work offers a Global Immersion Program in India entitled Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Media: Social Development in India. The three-week program partners with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences to show students how community-based interventions can be effective tools in tackling social issues in India. Students also travel to the city of Mumbai and to the rural town of Tuljapur to participate in community development projects. Students visit social enterprises and collaborate with Indian students majoring in media studies to create a video about social change and development in India.
