Light Of Motiram Hastily Changes Artwork Amid Legal Troubles

Tencent’s Polaris Quest has gone ahead and made heavy modifications to Light of Motiram following Sony filing a lawsuit over blatantly copying their Horizon series.

As The Game Post reports, the game’s Steam page was modified quite heavily to lessen people comparing it to Sony’s flagship PS series. Notably, though, they’ve gone ahead and yoinked the trailer off the page. Also, if you couldn’t have guessed, its platforms have changed, as well.

Ever since its big announcement last year, fans were wondering how long it would take for Sony to connect the dots between Tencent’s Light of Motiram and their own Horizon series. Not long after, though, it seemed the game was approved for PS5. Just this month, though, legal teams got involved.

The big gasp-worthy info to us, though, is how Light of Motiram might’ve been a product stemming from Tencent’s failed attempt at securing a license from Sony, which would’ve been tied to the Horizon IP. It makes us think if this game will ever even come out and if it does, will it still hold some of the same gameplay mechanics promised in its previous outing before the suit.

What do you think? Did Tencent rip-off Horizon? Let us know below!
