34 establishments have received the SG Clean certification — a programme that seeks to raise public hygiene levels amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The target is to eventually get more than 37,000 businesses from the tourism and lifestyle sectors to come on board. Among those that attained the certification on March 12 were three hotels linked to COVID-19 cases in Singapore. One of them is Grand Hyatt, which is no longer an active cluster. It received a quality mark for its efforts in maintaining hygiene practices. To be certified under SG Clean, firms must appoint a designated SG Clean Manager to implement a seven-point checklist.
