Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Faith Ward is letting fans in on the exact way she achieves her high pony for game days.
“It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: my ponytail tutorial,” Faith, 22, said in a Saturday, August 23, TikTok video. “I’ve been holding off on doing this video because it’s definitely been a trial-and-error process, but I think I finally got it down pat.”
The New Zealand native made the famed Cowboys cheer squad for the first time earlier this summer, where director Kelli Finglass allowed her to rock an updo for practices and games. (Most DCC members wear their hair down in bouncy curls if they have long hair.)
For Faith, she starts her styling process by applying Bondi Boost’s Rapid Repair Bond Builder and Finishing Oil to her blonde locks.

“This also is a heat protectant that seals the split ends and adds a nice shine at the very end,” she explained. “Now, [I] go in with the EverLast Airstyler. This has six different attachments, but today we’re going to be using the round brush. I use this to add volume, straighten it a little bit and flick out the ends.”
Faith uses the Airstyler on both her natural locks and her ponytail extensions to ensure everything looks equal when she hits the sidelines.
Next, Faith combs her hair into a middle part and “sections off” a portion of her mane. She then clips in her extensions and adds “some gel to the side.”
“I do two ponytails, so I do one underneath the extension in it, and then I flip it upside down [and] tie that one up,” she explained. “It’s key to making it stay while doing all of this activity because I’ve tried multiple other ones, and this one works the best.”
The Dallas Cowboys may not be playing in the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9, but the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders take the win for the best glam in the game. Using a total of three hair ties, Faith secures her high pony in place and then smooths out any lingering flyaways with Bondi Boost’s branded wand.
“This just locks down those final flyaways,” she said. “I’m obsessed with it [and] I take it with me when I’m on the go.”
Whenever Faith styles her pony for game days, she also “teases” the strands even more for extra pizzazz.
