Putin Says Ukraine War Wouldn’t Have Happened Under Trump
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 19 that his American counterpart Donald Trump was right when he said that Russia’s conflict in Ukraine would not have taken place if Trump had been in the White House at the time. The Russian leader said he is open to talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to resolve the conflict. Putin sent tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine in February 2022 and launched an offensive.
