Manchester United have learned who they will face in the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Women’s Champions League, having booked their spot by beating SK Brann 3-1 on Thursday evening.

United ease past Brann

United went into the second leg of their third qualifying round trailing, after drawing a blank in last week’s first leg in Norway. Marc Skinner’s side carved out several clear chances but lacked the finishing touch.

Skinner was very confident that his players would get the job done at Leigh Sports Village and they did not disappoint.

Elisabeth Terland scored a sensational hat-trick to overturn the deficit and secure a 3-1 aggregate victory for United.

It was a historic achievement for the Reds, who have secured their spot in the main draw of the Women’s Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.

Speaking after the final whistle, a jubilant Skinner insisted that United are not in Europe merely to make up the numbers, but to challenge the very best.

United have now discovered who stands in their way as they prepare for the league phase.

United learn Champions League opponents

United will play three home games and as many away fixtures.

From Pot 1, United drew a home tie against French champions Lyon before heading to Germany to face Wolfsburg.

Pot 2 delivered another heavyweight clash, with United travelling to Juventus before welcoming Paris Saint-Germain and ex-goalkeeper Mary Earps back to Manchester.

Earps parted ways with United in the summer of 2024 to join PSG as a free agent.

Finally, United will host Norwegian outfit Valerenga and then finally from Pot 3, Atletico Madrid.

The order of fixtures will be confirmed this weekend.
