This comprehensive research considered various factors to determine the best global tracks, including Instagram hashtag volume and social reactions, alongside practical details like trail length and difficulty. The findings provide a fantastic resource for anyone planning their next outdoor adventure.

The study proudly names the Sentiero Degli Dei, or ‘The Path of The Gods,’ in Italy as the best hiking trail in the world. This stunning 8km trail is an easy one-day hike that connects two small towns, Agerola and Nocelle. It’s a popular choice, evidenced by over 60,000 Instagram hashtags and a remarkable 100% ‘love’ social reaction, indicating its widespread appeal.

New Zealand’s Tongariro Alpine Crossing takes the second spot, offering a beautiful trek through a volcanic landscape within a World Heritage Site. Despite its slightly longer 19km length, it is also rated as an easy one-day hike. This trail also enjoys a 100% ‘love’ social reaction and a significant number of hashtags.
